Reiki

What is Reiki?

The word “Reiki” means universal life force energy. In this hands-on healing modality, the practitioner channels the energy, allowing it to flow through her into the recipient. This removes energy blocks and brings balance and relaxation, which builds the foundation for symptom relief, stress reduction, and other beneficial changes.

Research shows that Reiki can:

  • Lower pain levels

  • Reduce anxiety

  • Improve energy levels

  • Improve mood

  • Increase overall wellbeing

What to expect

At your one-on-one appointment, you’ll be fully clothed on a massage table. I’ll gently place my hands in various places on your back, abdomen, head, arms and legs.* You will feel a sense of calm and relaxation; sometimes you might fall asleep. You might notice a reduction of pain in some places, or a clearing of emotional or mental blocks.

I am a certified Usui Reiki Master- Teacher. In addition to dedicated Reiki sessions, I can also incorporate Reiki into any sound healing session, as well as distance Reiki sessions. I look forward to helping you improve your wellbeing!

*If you prefer not to be touched, Reiki can easily be done hands off, as well — let me know in advance if this is your preference.

Most people come to Reiki for healing, but it’s not just physical healing that Reiki brings. It can affect both the giver and receiver on every level: physical, emotional, mental and spiritual.

One of Reiki’s masters, Hawayo Takata, said that “Reiki goes to the cause,” meaning that it addresses the root cause of any ailments or problems you’re experiencing.
